As we prepare to celebrate the close of another year and welcome in the new it is a perfect time to visit Langhorne Creek to discover, or rediscover as the case may be, this wonderful region. The vineyards are lush with an explosion of greenery thanks to wonderful Spring rains and the cellar doors are welcoming visitors to sample great wines, offer a tasty bite to eat, a friendly chat or just a relaxing space to soak up the scenery.

The National Australia Day Council (NADC) and the historic Langhorne Creek wine region have struck up a partnership for the 2010 Australian of the Year Awards – the 50th anniversary of these awards.

The beautiful Langhorne Creek wine region was abuzz on Sunday when revelers packed Frank Potts Reserve for Lazy Sunday on the Bremer, the region’s premier food, wine and music event.

One of the most successful Vignerons Cups was held last Sunday at the Strathalbyn Race Course, with an estimated 2000 people attending.

In November the Langhorne Creek grape growers hit the greens at Ashbourne Golf course for the annual growers golf day. 

Phillip and Judy Cross of Angas Plains Estate are delighted that their 'Emily Cross' 2007 Langhorne Creek Shiraz, along with their 2006 Special Reserve Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon has recieved five stars in James Halliday's 2010 Wine Companion.

The 2007 'Emily Cross' Shiraz is dedicated to Phillips Mum, a lady who displays a wonderful array of characteristics typified by generosity, strength and resilience.
