Wine Winners Announced in Langhorne Creek
It was party time at Langhorne Creek on the 30th of April, when a crowd of nearly 300 winemakers, grape growers, media, politicians and industry partners marked the end of vintage 2010 and unveiled the winners of the 2010 Langhorne Creek Winemakers Showcase at the 10th anniversary of the Langhorne Creek Winemakers Luncheon. Family-owned boutique winery Lake Breeze came home the big winners, winning five of the seven awards.

The Premier's Food Awards Celebrate with Langhorne Creek

The South Australian Premier’s Food Industry Awards and the Langhorne Creek wine region have struck up a partnership for the thirteenth annual South Australian Premier’s Food Industry Awards. The Langhorne Creek Region has become the official Wine Partner – making it the first region to do so, rather than an individual winery as traditionally occurs.

On Sunday May 16, The Langhorne Creek Winemakers’ Association opened its doors for the public to take the largest collection of Langhorne Creek wines assembled in one place. Up to 100 of the region’s best drops, as judged by an esteemed judging panel, were arranged in the Langhorne Creek Memorial Hall to celebrate the culmination of Vintage 2010.

Following the success of event , the Langhorne Creek Winemakers’ Association packed up the wines and took them to Adelaide to do it all over again staging the Showcase Wine Tasting in the City event on Sunday, July 4 in the Lion Hotel, North Adelaide.
