Being a family business and a family in business has its trials, tribulations and enormous rewards...
		The first Willson (my father Walter, commonly known as Jock) came to Australia in 1937 as a printer, from the Scottish border town of Selkirk and eventually established a family printing and publishing business, from which Bremerton Wines was born. The family have retained a close link with Selkirk ever since. Every year, the town celebrates its participation in the battle of Flodden in 1513. As a reward from this battle, the town was allocated a track of land with the condition that the boundaries must be checked every year. During the week-long celebration in June, the town encourages all its ‘Souters’ (those with a close connection to the town who live overseas) to return and help celebrate. 2010 happened to be the 100th anniversary for the Colonial Society (which represents the ‘Souters’).
