Rain, wonderful rain!!!
		Never again will we complain about the cold and wet. August weather has been the best for our vineyards in a long time. Nice soaking rains with plenty of follow up showers. We can only hope that it continues until at least the end of September – if it does, it will set the vineyards up for a wonderful 2009 vintage. We have undertaken much work in the vineyards in the last 12 months (and ongoing), drought proofing and making them environmentally sustainable as well as further enhancing the fruit quality.

News from the Winery
		This year is racing by, with all our 2008 white wines now safely bottled and our reds happily in barrel. The winery has been quite a buzz this month with yet more outstanding reviews of our wines from James Halliday and a plethora of medals from a number of wine shows.

2009 James Halliday Wine Companion - 5 STARS
		The 2009 Wine Companion results have just been released. Once again, we have been rated an overall 5 star winery. We are wrapped to have received 96 points for the 2004 Reserve Cabernet plus ranked equal top Cabernet in Australia. The 2005 Old Adam Shiraz received an outstanding 95 points and overall 7 out of our 10 wines received 90 or above!!

2008 Sauvignon Blanc - Mmmmmmm!
		The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc was released at the weekend – and boy is it a cracker!! I didn’t think it was possible but Rebecca & Lachlan have once again raised the bar even higher and outdone themselves to produce their best ‘Savvy’ yet. Remember that Spring is just around the corner and this is the perfect Spring & Summer drink.

Cellar Door News

Cellar Door Winter Menu
		Keep in mind, when planning your next visit to the Cellar Door our winter menu is now available. This includes Mignonne’s delicious home cooked soup (yum!). Plus we have the return of the Beef & red wine pies as well as Chicken & white wine pies. It’s the perfect excuse to spend a lazy afternoon by the fire with a hearty winters lunch with a good glass of red while you listen to the rain bucket down outside (here’s hoping!!).

Art Exhibition – Artist Wolf Guntner
		Over the months of August & September the cellar door will be exhibiting a selection of paintings from artist Wolf Guntner. The exhibition is a celebration of good times had while sipping wine. For further information please contact the cellar door on 08 85 373 093.

Bremerton turns 20!!

We are planning for our annual October function this year to be that little bit more special as we will be celebrating the 20th Birthday of Bremerton. We would love to share the occasion with as many of our loyal Bremerton supporters, as it is because of you that we are here to celebrate it!!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2008 Winemakers Dinner. Once again, Chris Jarmer excelled in serving up his best food yet, and of course the wine matched beautifully. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Jazz on the Bremer

A great day of food, wine and Jazz, situated in the Frank Potts reserve. Sunday 5th October, 11:00am – 5:00pm. Entry is only $10, and for that you can enjoy your favourite Bremerton wines by the glass or bottle, among other Langhorne Creek wineries while having some delicious food and listening to Club Schmaltz and Bill Parton Trio. A wonderful day for those who enjoy great wine, delicious local food, toe-tapping music and the great outdoors.
